- Circled around Mexico City, camped at a gas station in Tepic.
- Continued north to Guaymas, camped at a gas station.
- Continued north to Nogales, crossed the border after clearing vehicle registration and entry
In the United States:
- Motored west to LA, sleeping in Pasedena at a gas station near a VW shop. Borrowed tools to fix a leaking oil pressure sensor valve.
- Motored north to the Bay Area to a warm welcome.
